Horses for Sale

We offer gentled, well-started mustangs for sale only after they have been titled by the BLM and registered with the American Mustang and Burro Association. We will only sell friendly, well-adjusted horses that easily adapt to new situations. If one of our mustangs seems to be a little more cautious and reserved, we will continue working with that horse to build its confidence and develop its trust in people before offering it for sale. We want people to be completely happy with the horse they choose to purchase and will do our best to match people with the right horse. We encourage anyone interested to come meet our horses and get to know them.

Our horses are wormed regularly from the time they first set hoof on our property. They are given annual vaccinations, including West Nile, and will have a negative Coggins and a health certificate at the time of sale. We also do routine hoof care as soon as they have been taught to accept it, although their hoofs are generally so strong and in such good shape that the most we have to do is a little rasping to smooth the edges.

When we sell a halter trained horse, we generally begin by asking $950. This price includes a rope halter and lead like the ones we use here on the farm. We will be more than happy to help answer any questions you may have about your new mustang and the sport of endurance.

Horses that have been started under saddle will start at $1800 and may be priced higher depending on the length of time under saddle and how far we have progressed in training. Their price includes an endurance headstall (this is a halter/bridle combination that is extremely convenient on the trail. I personally ride all my horses in something like this and love it!) in the color of your choice. It also includes a saddle-fitting consultation.

We do require a signature on a purchase agreement stipulating that the mustang will not be used or sold for bucking stock or sold for slaughter at any point of its life. Please see Important Notes.

Anyone who purchases one of our horses is encouraged to keep in touch!! We love to hear how our horses are settling in and what they are doing. And we are more than happy to answer any questions that may arise.

Training & Support Services

We want people to realize how incredible mustangs can be, especially when they are trained with sensitivity and patience. Mustangs do not respond well to force or demands, but if you take the time to build a bond of trust and respect they will work to please you. They have extremely loyal hearts and will take care of their riders on the trail. They are so responsive that it often seems just thinking about a movement is enough of a cue for them to follow.

If you would like to experience this kind of relationship with a horse, a mustang may be just what you are looking for. If we do not have a horse available that suits you, we can help you apply for and adopt a mustang of your own. We can help you evaluate the available mustangs so you find the prospect that is most likely to fulfill your expectations and we can help you get started in the critical gentling process. If you have already adopted a mustang but need a little guidance to make progress, we can help you work through the sticky spots. We offer private training demonstrations as well as clinics.
