Freedom's Brisa

Brisa’s name refers to a wind off the coast of South America. This name suits her because she loves to run through the pasture, racing the wind with her tail flagged behind her.

She is a bay filly with straight legs, good feet, and excellent conformation. She is built for stamina. We expect her to mature around 14.3 or 15 hands, although she is still growing and may end up taller. She has a very friendly, outgoing personality and loves to explore. Her eagerness and confidence will make her an excellent partner on the trail!

Brisa can be caught and brushed, has had her feet handled, and is learning to lead as well as to stand tied. Before we sell her she will also be taught to load in a trailer, tolerate baths, and be led over a series of obstacles that she might encounter on the trail. This groundwork will make the rest of her training go more quickly. She will also be introduced to tack and saddle blankets, although she will not be physically ready to start under saddle until she is a long three-year-old, at the earliest. If you buy her as a two-year-old you will have plenty of time to build a strong relationship with her before saddling her, and you will have a loyal trail partner for as long as she lives!

She will be available in early summer 2007, after she has been titled and registered, for $950. This price includes a rope halter and lead.
